GRUAUPHONE

The Gruauphone is a musical instrument that was conceived after a trip to Finland. The goal of the trip was to immerse ourselves in the community of Pagan Metal and to trace its possible origins. The instrument is presented as a remnant of this culture.

The instrument is a hybrid of a kantele and an electric guitar. It has 15 strings on the long side, 7 strings on the short side and a sounding board made from beech.
A 52 pages booklet contains documents found during the ressearch for the project. Such as drawings, texts and photographes and they serve as a musical notation for the Gruauphone.

MUFLIER

Snapdragon fathead death is a plant that has a seed capsule whose shape is surprisingly close to the human skull. Object of fascination and fantasy since the Middle Ages, extremely fragile, this tiny head is modeled in 3D and implemented in a sustainable material.
Both precious object, the cube engraved glass is also an emblem of cheap popular item, corporate gifts or tourist souvenir, and thus shows that the meaning and power of the symbol varies according to context.
