Fixed Stars

2017 - Site-specific installation for 9th Biennale d’art contemporain de Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, on the campus of the university.
The "Book of Fixed Stars" is an illustrated text written by the Persian astronomer Abd al-Rahman al-Soufi in the 10th century. He describes 48 constellations which all take the form of characters or animals. For each of them he provides two drawings, one seen from the sky and the other from the earth.
